The vision of the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the American Institute of Architects is to further the development and value of the profession, foster collegiality, and networking among Architects in our region, support professional licensure, promote ethical practices, advocate for codes and regulations that govern the quality of the built environment, educate the community, and provide architectural services that enhance the quality of life for all people.

About AIA Chesapeake Bay

The Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), founded in 1965, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the architectural profession in the Chesapeake Bay region. Serving architects in Anne Arundel, Calvert, St. Mary's, Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset counties, the chapter fosters collegiality, supports professional licensure, and promotes ethical practice. Through advocacy, education, and events like the Excellence in Design Awards, AIA Chesapeake Bay enhances the quality of the built environment and community life.
